Aluminum oxide insulating washers have a dielectric strength of approximately 21.7 x 10³ volts/mm for 0.76mm material and 16.9 x 10³ volts/mm for 1.57mm material. The thermal conductivity of aluminum oxide is 15.06 W/mK @ 75°. Aluminum oxide has unique thermal conductivity qualities and features low loss factors at high frequencies. It has high compressive strengths, high volume resistivity, low thermal expansion and it resists radiation.

Application
Alumina substrate is mainly used in large power equipment, IC MOS tube, IGBT chip heat conducting insulation, high frequency power supply, communication, mechanical equipment, strong current, high voltage, high temperature and other thermal heat insulation parts need products.
Alumina ceramic is the most mature of the engineering ceramics, offering excellent electrical insulation properties together with high hardness and good wear resistance,but relatively low strength and fracture toughness.Alumina ceramics are generally white but may also be pink or ivory.The color is derived from either the sintering additives or impurities in the raw materials.
